Pamela Krasney was an extraordinary woman, abounding in compassion, courage, humor, integrity, and wisdom. She had boldness, prescience, and a steady unselfconscious bravery that put her on the front lines of social change, including making an early commitment to battle violence against women, caregiving and leadership from the onset of the HIV/AIDS scourge, and campaigning to end the death penalty and reform the racist United States prison system. The Pamela Krasney Moral Courage Fellowship was established in 2016 by Marty Krasney to honor the memory of his wife, who passed away in 2015.

The Pamela Krasney Moral Courage Fellowship supports Mesa Refuge residents whose writing shows moral courage.
